Renowned businessman Philip Zepter's eponymous company, which bought Hotel Zvezda in the center of Vrnjacka Banja for EUR 1.4 million early this year, officially became the owner of the unfinished part of this hotel, Zvezda 2, yesterday, Novosti reports.

Zepter's offer of RSD 77 million was accepted by the Board of Creditors of HTP Fontana in bankruptcy. The company thereby also became the owner of the unfinished Zvezda 2, with six floors and around 1,000 projected rooms, the construction of which was stopped nearly three decades ago for various reasons. Together with the already reconstructed Zvezda 1, it will make up a hotel complex of nearly 5,000 square meters in Promenada.

– This is a very important strategic investment, which will confirm the leading position of Vrnjacka Banja as a first-category tourist location ahead of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of organized spa treatment and tourism in the area. In agreement with Zepter, the plan is for his company to invest around EUR 7 million in the next two years – Boban Curovic, president of the municipality, says for Novosti.
