The Government of Serbia has adopted bills amending two laws in the field of air, rail and water transport to fully harmonize Serbian legislation in the area with the EU acquis, they said.

The Bill amending the Air Traffic Law, among other matters, further specifies the conditions under which it is possible to deviate from the general prohibition of flying an aircraft below the minimum altitude over densely populated areas, industrial facilities or over gatherings of people outdoors.

Also, the amendments to the laws provide the legal basis for the adoption of regulations that would define the minimum altitudes and conditions under which the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia may issue a flying permit.

The bill defines three categories of the operations of unmanned aerial aircraft systems, as well as the basic conditions for them, and the field of safety orders and exemptions is regulated as well.
