Growth of 20.29% achieved in ICT sector in first seven months – Average salary RSD 250,000
At the opening of the regional conference on trends in telecommunications and media “Digital 2024”, which is held at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), he said that the ICT sector in Serbia had 12.2 employees, that its share in the GDP was 6.8% and that those results had been achieved thanks to the efforts of individuals, institutions and legislatives.
He also emphasized that the average salary in the ICT sector was around RSD 250,000, and that, in the first seven months of 2024, a growth of 20.29% had been achieved in that sector.
– We will continue growing, we will continue advancing further – said Ristic.
He added that artificial intelligence “is one of the biggest challenges that the human kind will face,” and that the Government of Serbia, that is, his ministry, advocated “an elementary honoring of ethics” in using new technologies and that they would continue contributing to the development of the ICT sector.
