After two years of negotiations, the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Arab Republic of Egypt will encompass more than 16,000 products which will be exported and imported to Serbia and Egypt, stated the minister of trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic.

Once the Free Trade Agreement is ratified, he added, the customs fees on 40% for fresh apples, 30% for prunes and 20% for frozen berries will be removed. The customs fees for products of the Serbian food industry, which now range from 20-60% will slowly start dropping, and the customs fees for mineral water and non-alcoholic beer, which are currently at 20-30%, will be removed as well.

– In addition to being a big opportunity for agriculturists from Serbia, additionally, this is also a great opportunity for the Serbian ceramics industry, pharmaceutical industry and many other industries – minister Momirovic wrote on Instagram.
