Donal Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Jushner, has shared rendered images of the project of the luxury complex which is planned in the location of the General Staff building in Belgrade on his X and Facebook profiles.

– Excited to share some early design images for development projects we have been creating for the Albanian coast and downtown Belgrade – wrote Kushner.

One rendered image shows a complex with two towers.

As The New York Times reports, the son-in-law of the former U.S. president Donald Trump, who was also a high official of the White House, said that he was close to the finalization of real estate projects in Albania and Serbia.

He has confirmed that he was closing big real estate deals in Albania and Serbia, which is, as the daily writes, “the latest example of the former president's family doing business abroad even as Mr. Trump seeks to return to the White House.”

– Kushner’s plans in the Balkans appear to have come about in part through relationships built while Trump was in office. Kushner, who was a senior White House official, said he had been working on the deals with Richard Grenell, who served briefly as acting director of national intelligence under Trump and also as ambassador to Germany and special envoy to the Balkans – The New York Times writes.

The daily writes that one of the proposed projects would be the development of an island off the coast of Albania into a luxury tourist destination, whereas a second, with a planned luxury hotel and 1,500 residential units and a museum, is “at the site of the long-vacant former headquarters of the Yugoslav army destroyed in 1999 by the NATO bombings.”

These first two projects, The New York Times writes, both involve land now controlled by the governments, meaning a deal would have to be finalized with foreign governments.

As Richard Grenell stated for the Blic daily, the “General Staff” project is an investment worth USD 1 billion.

– There will be a world-class project in Belgrade from American investors, international investors. There will be office space, apartments and a hotel with five stars. We have made a bridge which will honor the first architect of the project and be a symbol of friendship with the West. The memorial complex will be built through a contest – said Grenell.

Let us remind that Aleksandar Jovanovic Cuta of the Ekoloski Ustanak political organization said several days ago to the press that the minister of construction, Goran Vesic, had signed, on behalf of the Government of Serbia, the memorandum of understanding by which the location of the bombed building of the General Staff in the Belgrade center was “gifted” to the American offshore companies Kushner Realty and Atlantic incubation Partners LLC.

He then said that Kushner Realty had been registered in Delaware – “a tax haven for offshore companies,” on March 8, at the address of Jonathan Kushner, a cousin of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the former U.S. president Donald Trump.

Soon after Aleksandar Jovanovic Cuta presented this information, the directly called-out minister Goran Vesic responded on his official Facebook page, saying that the government authorization he had given was no secret and that it had been adopted at a public session.

– When and if, based on that authorization, a memorandum or some other act is signed, the government will notify the public about it. So, there’s no need to create a sensation where there’s none. All the Governments of Serbia, since 2000 have tried to revitalize the location of the General Staff building. If it were easy, I believe that, before us, some other government would have done so. However, it isn’t, so it’s up to us to solve this problem as well – Vesic wrote in his post and added that he would “announce with pride when and if we find a partner for the location of the old NDFS.” (The National Defense Federal Secretariat, located across the street from the General Staff building, note by eKapija)

– I presume that we all agree that the ruins should not stand there for another 25 years – said Vesic.
