The former football player Vladimir Jugovic has increased his ownership share in the Ljubovija-based tobacco producer Duvan, from 24.99% to 91.31%, whereby he has become its majority owner.

As the Belgrade Stock Exchange announced, in the period between January 24 and February 13, Jugovic has bought 7,808 shares of Danube at a price of RSD 1,500 per share (a total of RSD 11.7 million).

The company’s capital is divided into 11,773 shares of an individual nominal value of RSD 12,000. Last year, the shares were not traded at the stock exchange.

The data of the Central Securities Depository and Clearing House show that the remaining stake of around 9% of Dunav is in the hands of numerous local private persons, reports SeeNews.

Jugovic, one of the most prominent players in Red Star Belgrade’s history, also played for numerous top European teams in his career, such as Juventus, Inter and Atlantico Madrid.
