Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali and Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmed bin Aqila el-Khatib signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the basis of which the Saudi Fund for Development showed interest in financing specific projects in the Republic of Serbia in the amount of about USD 200 million USD.

- By concluding this Memorandum of Understanding, the Republic of Serbia will be ensured to continue investments in capital projects, and this way we will also strengthen the economic relations between our two countries - wrote Mali in his post on Instagram.

These projects, as he stated, are the program of the irrigation infrastructure strengthening, the transmission system operator EMS (phase 1) and the BIO4 campus in Belgrade.

- I am glad that we are successfully continuing our cooperation, after I had the opportunity to visit Saudi Arabia last year and to speak with the Minister of Tourism, as well as the Minister of Finance. We want to establish a long-term partnership and contribute to the implementation and development of important projects in the fields of science and technology, as well as energy and agriculture. We have a lot of room for further cooperation, and this is a good start. We are opening a new chapter! - Mali wrote.
