AIK Banka Signs Acquisition Agreement with Eurobank Direktna
The president of the CCIS, Marko Cadez, called this an event of great importance for the banking sector and the economy of Serbia as a whole.
– This acquisition exceeds the importance for MK Group, for AIK Banka, which rises to the very top of the Serbian banking sector with a market share of over 13% and becomes one of the best banks with local ownership observed by the portfolio of placements to the real sector, and for Eurobank Direktna, which has been strategically managed and developed the best way possible in the past years, thereby earning special attention from investors – Cadez said.
He added that the acquisition was of enormous importance for Serbian companies as well and that they had gotten a strong backbone and a reliable partner for the expansion of their business and new investments, not just in the country, but also abroad, the CCIS said in a press release.
