Tender for Construction of International Passenger Terminal Near Ram Fortress Opens – Seeking Designer and Contractor
The technical specification of the subject reminds that this terminal is envisaged in the Strategy of Development of Water Transport of the Republic of Serbia from 2015 to 2025.
– In 2017, the construction of the port infrastructure started with the procurement of the floating structure for the purposes of an international passenger terminal, and in 2019, the Government of Serbia adopted the Decree on determining the port area of the international passenger terminal in the Ram settlement in Veliko Gradiste – the tender says.
The plan is for the international passenger terminal is to be built as a floating structure for the boarding and landing of passengers, located along the right coast of the river Danube.
It is explained that the existing floating structure of the international passenger terminal in Ram needs to be enabled to dock safely and to handle and dispatch passenger boats, as well as to be enabled for the boarding and landing of passengers and to function under various weather conditions that may jeopardize the stability and the position of the floating structure.
The selected bidder is obliged to prepare a project for the installation of piles, to execute preparatory works, which entail the procurement of materials, the establishment of the construction site and the geodetic preparation of the terrain, to produce and install the piles and finally to set up the floating structure.
The deadline for the completion of all the works is 150 days from the signing of the agreement, whose value has been estimated at RSD 16.67 million without the VAT.
Bids may be submitted by June 7.
As the director of the Port Governance Agency, Vuk Perovic, announced in late April, considering that the agency is working on a study which will define the network of marinas on the Danube and the Sava, the construction of a marina in Veliko Gradiste is possible as well.
