"DIARY" From Pirot Works by Full Capacity - from February 2010 Plan for the Construction of Facilities for Processing Meat

Dairy "Eco Themann Group" in Pirot will start working at full capacity in late February, said for the TV Pirot Mr.Goran Popovic, Manager of the company "Eco Themann Group".

In the renovation of the "Dairy" over 2 million EUR has been invested so far. Aside of this amount that is invested in refurbishment and renovation of the "Dairies" in Pirot, farms, sheep and goats in the Stara Planina, "Eco Themann Group" prepares documents for the construction of the processing meat sector in Pirot.

The "Dairy" is planned to employ about 110 people who were from the Agency for Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) obtained by stimulating funds. "Dairy" will produce a white cheese in parts and Pirot cheese, as well as dairy sour products.

Management of the "Eco Themann" estimates that in Serbia there are sufficient amounts of milk to the "Dairy" working at full capacity. "Dairy" has never worked at full capacity of 60,000 liters per shift. Mostly it was processed the quantity of about 50,000 liters of milk.
"Eco Themann Group" bought Pirot "Dairy" in October 2008. year for approx. EUR 600,000, after two failed privatization. The "Dairy" has not been in opeartion since 2001. year.
