Consortium comprising Trade Fair "Rimini" and "Verano" submitted only bid for procurement of 70% of Belgrade Trade Fair

- The consortium comprising Italian company Trade Fair "Rimini" and Belgrade-based "Verano motors" is the only bidder on the tender for the Belgrade Trade Fair - the Privatization Agency of Serbia announced yesterday (June 15, 2009).

According to the announcement, the submitted bid will be opened on Friday, June 19th, at the meeting of the Tender Commission for sale of 70% of capital of the Belgrade Trade Fair.

The tender for sale of the Belgrade Trade Fair, of which capital has been estimated at 20.5m EUR, was announced in December 2008, while the extended deadline for submission of bids expired yesterday.

The Belgrade Trade Fair occupies the area of 22 ha, it owns facilities at total surface of 106,241 square meters, including six high-category exhibition halls with 53,221 square meters of exhibition space.

The company's incomes in 2007 amounted to 15.32m EUR, while the incomes from services in the period 2003-2007 grew by 14.2% per year at average.


According to the data provided by the Business Registry Agency, the Belgrade Trade Fair had 231 workers and registered profit of 148m RSD in 2008.

In addition to Italian Trade Fair "Rimini", Austrian "Reed Exhibitions" also expressed interest in participation in the tender for the Belgrade Trade Fair on some earlier occasion.
