Skies over Serbia as blue as spiritual freedom

1.day Departure from Novi Sad/Belgrade at 8 am. Drive by Coridor X to Velika Plana and visit to Church Pokajnica and Radovanjski Lug, a place where the Great Karadjordje was murdered. In an authentic environment actors perform the show under the name ,,Karadjordje koje kude…,, Lunch in the cottage. Continue driving to Topola and visit to Oplenac, the Church, The Mausoleum of St.George, the foundation of the royal family… Travel via Kragujevac and Vitanovac through Gruza to The Spa of Vrnjacka Banja - ,,the Queen of Serbia,, Accommodation in hotel Aleksandar, dinner in typical environment of the famious spa – Restaurant Kruna. Overnight.

2. day After breakfast pleasant walk through the beautiful spa gardens with visit to the mineral water springs. Trip to the Mountain Goc with picnic lunch on the clearings of wonderful site. After lunch return to the Spa of Vrnjacka Banja and visit to the village Vranesi and typical landowner family who breed cattle and produce fine cheese,yogurt,famous kajmak and other traditional products. Tasting.Dinner,overnight in hotel.

3. day Breakfast and ,,The Queen's bath,, in the pools of the Rehabilitation Center with the possibility of medical treatment and review in doctor coordination and assistance. Walk through the beautiful park of Spa, drinking of healing water, trim track, relief… In the afternoon departure to the Ljubostinja Monastery, one of the most beautiful monuments of Morava architecture style from the beginning of 15tg century. Sightseeing. The possibility of wine tasting produced in Monastery. Return to The Spa of Vrnjacka Banja. After dinner, walk to the Castle of Belimarkovic, situated on one of the hills above this famous Spa. The Spa of Vrnjacka Banja was the host to the rich people who wanted relax and entertainment in the past. Exposition/ concert/ fashion show. Overnight.

4. day Departure at 7,30 am down the romantic ,"lilac-valley" passing by the middle-age fortification of Maglic and drive to Usce. A break for rest and viewing the healing plants, natural drinks and unicums produced from rare healing plants picked-up from Golija Mt. and surroundings Continue driving and visit to the Monastery Gradac, the foundation of Queen Jelena Anzujska, the unique synthesis of Byzantine,Romanic and Gothic art. Continue driving across Raska until Novi Pazar. Visit to the Monastery Djurdjevi Stupovi. Continue driving to the source of Raska River where one of the most gorgeous monuments of fresco-painting from 13th century, Monastery Sopocani, is located. Drive through the unforgettable regions, still unexplored Mountain Golija, to the top – Jankov Kamen, 1833m above the sea level. Nearby is hotel Golijska Reka. Golija is the first and the only one natural reservation in Serbia, intersected by many rivers and brooks, with planty of woods, vegetation and unspoilt nature. Accommodation, dinner, overnigh.

5. day After breakfast departure to the top of Golija Mountain. Visit the Lake Ticar, Monastery Pridvorica, Monastery Kovilje in Village Smiljevac. Continue driving until Medjurecje. Lunch in the restaurant where the natural river-trout is served. Drive to Kusici with the breathtaking view over the whole region. Drive through the countryside of unique natural beauty to the ascetic cell of St.Sava, visit, walk. Arrival to the temporary lodgement of Monastery Studenica and accommodation, overnight (special regime of behaviour).

6. day Visit to the Monastery Studenica –Church of Notre Dame, King,s Church, Radoslavljeva s parvis, Treasury, Church of St.Nicola, dinning room… This splendid foundation was built by Stefan Nemanja before the renunciation of the throne and leaving into the friars 1195. to Hilandar Monastery. It is the most important Serbian Monastery of the cultural and artistic value. Drive via Ivanjica, Arilje, Pozega with short breaks for rest, to Zlatibor. Accommodation in the hotel PTT-POSTTOURS. Dinner with the original specialities from this region – healthy food.

7. day MOKRA GORA…The whole day long tour to the famous SARGAN'S EIGHT. Trip by train, enyoing in fantastic nature….Late afteroon return to Zlatibor. Dinner,overnight.

8. day After breakfast short walk through the meadows of Zlatibor and free time for shopping and departure via Uzice to Ovcar-Kablar Gorge. Visit of the Monasteries Nikolje, Jovanje… Continue driving through Gornji Milanovac across the village Ba to Mountain Suvobor and Ravna Gora peak. Arrival at Kostunici – Ethno-village, accommodation Visit to the Museum "Prodanovic Magaza" Ethno House ,"Zivojin Misic" Ethno house with handcrafts and exibition of regional objects. Dinner in the Restaurant „Ravna Gora” with the menu of the traditional Serbian meals made by the recepies from XIX century. Those dishes are made on the open fire place in pottery and cooked in the open fire.

9. day After breakfast short walk through Kostunici and enyoing fresh air, drive to Valjevo and Struganik. Visit to the Monastery Pustinja and Monastery Ćelije. Sightseeing. Lunch in Divci. Drive to Belgrade/Novi Sad with the evening arrival. End of the programme.
