Pirot gets approval for projects worth EUR 1.2 million for the cross-border cooperation between Serbia and Bulgaria
The City of Pirot received the approval for four projects in the total amount of EUR 1.2 million.
In addition to the restoration of the medieval fortification Kale, the plateau in front of the indoor city pool will be rearranged, as will be the yard around the reconstructed watchtower at Dojkinci on Stara Planina. As well, the equipment for the needs of the maternity ward of the General Hospital in Pirot will be procured, the announcement says.
The City Administration of Pirot will act as a partner in two projects, and the Welfare Center and Sports Center will act as partners in one project.
A total of 103 projects were approved within the previous call of the IPA program of cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Serbia, of which eight projects worth around a million euros were approved to the Municipality of Pirot and its organizations, announced the Local Economic Development Office at the City Administration of Pirot.
